2024 Annual Pumpkin Smash in Harrer Park

Free Admission

Don’t trash it, smash it!!! Drop off your jack-o-lanterns for composting. Every pumpkin smashed is one less pumpkin in the landfill. Please remember to remove any stickers, googly eyes, and candles before you drop off your pumpkin.

Bring the kids along and watch as our public works team lifts pumpkins high in their giant dump truck, then sends them crashing down into the composting bin below!

We need your pumpkins for this fun event! Bring your gourds, jack-o-lanterns, and decorative pumpkins to the drop-off spot in front of Park View School on Lake Street. After dropping off your pumpkins, stick around in the viewing area to enjoy refreshments and spend time with friends and neighbors while watching your pumpkin make a big splash! This is an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately for the weather.

Dress up in your favorite costume and join us at the Prairie View Community Center for our Halloween Family Fest! Enjoy carnival games, pumpkin decorating, a hayride, inflatables, delicious food for purchase, and more. It’s bound to be a spooky good time for ages 3-12 accompanied by an adult.

Bring your beloved furry friend for a fun-filled morning of Halloween festivities! Enjoy an agility course, a photo area, a costume contest, and a dog trick contest. Prizes will be awarded for the Funniest, Scariest, Cutest, and Best Dog/Owner Team costumes.

Please ensure all dogs are healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations. Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6ft.
